Seungri said on KBS’s “Happy Together” how Taeyang changes when he drinks. He usually acts calm and composed, but when he drinks he’s always angry that he can’t get drunk, when in fact he’s already drunk.
G-Dragon also confirmed this habit, saying that he found Taeyang drunk, but he kept claiming that he was sober.
When EXO appeared as guests on SBS Power FM’s The Cultwo Show, Baekhyun said that Xiumin likes to philosophize under the influence of alcohol and repeats the same thing many times. The other members laughed in agreement and added that he would pick on one person and tell him the same story over and over again.
Hyorin was widely known as an inveterate drinker, and many imagined her to be a strong personality even when she was drunk. However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Yuju shared that she does not have a good tolerance for alcohol, so when she gets drunk, she cries. On the SBS Love FV Two Man Show, Sowon told that at a company seminar, Yuju got drunk and started crying. Their CEO had to sing her a song to cheer her up.
Sunny is well known in the K-pop industry as a heavy drinker, perhaps the strongest in a generation of girls, and her favorite alcoholic drink is “somaek” (a combination of soju and beer). When she drinks with coworkers or friends at the pub, Sunny talks a lot and indistinctly. According to Henry, Sunny’s voice is all you can hear when she drinks at a party.
We all know that Chinese girls have specific ideals of female beauty, but do foreigners share these ideals? Let’s compare. Western girls like to be tanned, Asian girls prefer white skin. Let’s look at the standards of beauty in China and in the West, and see how they differ.
Chinese beauty standards: Big eyes
Today, the Chinese think that girls with 大眼睛 (big eyes) are the most beautiful, especially if their eyes have a 双眼皮 (double eyelid). These modern Chinese beauty standards show a certain fascination with the West, and more and more girls are resorting to cosmetic surgery to create these “double eyelids”.
But, do foreigners like it? On the contrary, most foreigners seem to prefer Chinese girls with slanted, narrow eyes and eyebrows. In China, 细长眼睛 (narrow eyes) with 单眼皮 (single eyelid) are not beautiful at all, so it seems that when it comes to eyes and body shape, the beauty standards do not coincide.
This girl on the left, 吕燕 (Lu yan), is a 模特 top model, who’s extremely famous in China. She’s often considered the most beautiful and popular Chinese model by westerners. Lots of foreigners think her very beautiful, maybe because of her typical 东方古典美 (oriental look). She looks exotic, which often gain a lot of attention.
However, the Chinese tend to think that she is kind of “ugly” and “strange”, especially because of her narrow and long eyes, her big lips and very large face. Her face is quite exceptional and unique and as such she doesn’t quite fit with traditional Chinese beauty standards.

The second Chinese beauty standard is the white skin. Let’s understand why.
Chinese beauty standards: White Skin
Some Chinese beauty standards are inspired by Western looks, but much remains typically oriental. 皮肤白 (white skin) is one of them. You will never see a girl applying self-tanning in China, or voluntarily sunbathing, unless she has spent quite a lot of time in the West. On the contrary, Chinese girls try to protect their skin from the sun as much as possible! If you’ve been to China, you undoubtedly have noticed how they wisely use umbrellas, jackets and sunscreen to protect their skin from the sun.
Having a white skin is an old Chinese beauty standard that comes from Ancient Chinese traditions. In ancient China, only rich people had a white skin because they didn’t have to work in the fields. Their creamy, flawless, white skin was proof that they were of a different class. That’s why Chinese girls still want a white and smooth skin. There is even Chinese expression praising white skin:
一白遮三丑 (a white complexion is powerful enough to hide seven faults.)
From this expression, it is not hard to see that Chinese traditional beauty standards equate “beauty” with white and smooth skin.
The Chinese girls’ obsession for the white skin is such that the make-up industry sells products in China that are different from westerns, where tanning is an obsession.
Chinese beauty standards: Face shape
In Chinese, there are a lots of words to describe the 脸型 (face shape), much more than the traditional square, oval, round and triangle face shapes in the West. That’s an indication of how seriously the Chinese take face shapes. Two specific shapes are the beauty ideal:
瓜子脸 — melon seed face
鹅蛋脸 — goose egg face
What a yummy description for the ideals of face shapes! If they don’t seem very clear for you, just imagine a face that has the same shape as a melon seed or goose egg.
Not everyone is born with this type of face nowadays, many girls even go through the cosmetic surgery to change the shape of their face. The worst face shape for a Chinese girl is a 国字脸 (square face). A square face is considered very masculine. Generally, Chinese girls want to have an oval face instead of a prominent chin, as it looks more feminine, delicate and cute.
And it is vice versa in the West. The square face is attract more attention and is considered a kind of beauty standard.
Chinese beauty standards: Slim body
A slim body is what Chinese girls really want. Often their thinness looks very unhealthy, but this is exactly what the traditional standard of Chinese beauty includes.
Lot of girls barely eat in order to lose weight and be always in shape. On the Internet often appears photo of girls comparing their waist size to a A4 sheet of paper, or, if a girl is able to wrap her arms around her own waist — this clearly indicates that being slim is an another obsession in China. It’s incredible!
In the West, girls also take care of themselves, but curvy women are also part of the beauty standards. The breast and booty must be plump, but the waist must be very thin. The ideal body for some foreigners, unfortunately, remains Barbie, the famous doll, with its unrealistic proportions.
Dal Shabet, originally formed by six members, debuted in January 2011 under Happy Face Entertainment. Being produced by E-Tribe, the producers of such hit songs as SNSD‘s “Gee” and Lee Hyori‘s “U-Go-Girl”, the group gained a lot of attention.
After a while they established a stable fandom (Darlings) and fame, and became especially popular for their tracks including, “Supa Dupa Diva,” “B.B.B,” “Someone Like U,” “Joker” and more.

Despite the success, Dal Shabet failed to endure the “7-Year Curse,” and, as a result, the members one by one left the company. Viki
Viki, also known as Baek Da Eun was the original member and leader of Dal Shabet, not until she left the group in 2012.
She then continued her solo career both as a musician and actress, making her debut in an R-rated film, “A Pharisee,” in 2014. She later on signed with MBK Entertainment but left to continue her career independently.
In 2022, she is not only an independent artist but also a k-pop dance teacher.
Serri
Park Miyeon, also well-known as Serri, became the main leader after Viki left as well as the main rapper when Jiyul and Gaeun left.
Before contract expiration with Happy Entertainment in 2017, Serri and Wohee joined “The Unit” but unfortunately she was stayed out of the final lineup.
Currently, she’s a recording artist under DREAM Entertainment. She also had a YouTube channel, “Serri Day.”
As Serri, Ayoung is still a member of Dal Shabet despite hiatus and leaving the agency in 2017.

Jiyul
In 2015, Jiyul withdrawn from Dal Shabet but in 2019, she rejoined the group to commemorate their 8th anniversary.
After leaving the group, she transferred to Jellyfish Entertainment but shortly after, she terminated her contract with the company.
In 2022, Jiyul is an independent artist and although she’s not that active in the entertainment sphere anymore, she sometimes communicates with fans on SNS.
Woohee
After Viki left in 2012, Woohee became the leader of the group alongside being the main dancer.
During the Dal Shabet break, Woohee debuted in 2017 in Uni.T, winning a seventh place in KBS reality show, “The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project.”
Now, she promotes as an actress and singer under NEVER DIE Entertainment.
Kaeun
In 2015, Kaeun decided to part ways with the group alongside Jiyul. In 2019, she reunited with the group to commemorate 8th anniversary.
When she left the K-pop scene, Kaeun continue her modeling career and want to become a designer. Currently, she’s married to her long-time partner since 2018.
Subin
The main vocalist, visual and maknae Subin is still a member of Dal Shabet. Among members, Subin gained her popularity as a model and the girl who had a cameo in BIGBANG Taeyang‘s “I Need a Girl.”
Before contract termination with Happy Entertainment in 2017, she debuted as a solo artist in 2016.
In 2018, she signed with KeyEast Entertainment to continue her career but terminated contract after a few months.

Jo Kwon appeared as a guest on the May 17 broadcast of KBS2’s ‘Family Relations Certificate Godfather’. It is a known fact that most Chinese costume dramas are based on short novels, the authors of which can be both popular and obscure writers. It is no secret that screen adaptations can generate renewed interest in the original source, but not all TV adaptations can be called successful.
Here is a list of dramas that have proven to be failures compared to the original sources.
1. “Listening Snow Tower” (“Ting Xue Lou”)
The fantasy drama is based on the novel “Listening Snow Tower: Blood of the Rose” by author Cang Yue. The novel was rated 8.5 on Douban. The adaptation of the novel was not as successful as the original novel. Douban rating was only 4.5 points. The creators of the serial reduced some of the plot and also changed the characteristics of the characters (the original story told the love story of a phoenix and a dragon, but in the drama characters just have magical powers, they are not divine beings).
2. “Mirror: A Tale Of Twin Cities”
Another adaptation of the novel by Cang Yue was once again many times inferior to the original. The novel scored 8.6 points in the Douban rating, but the screen adaptation with Lee Yi Feng was a catastrophic failure with only 3.8 points. According to netizens, the creators of the drama removed the main essence that was in the novella, that’s why the series turned out to be very boring and faded.
3. “Song in the Clouds”
Author Tong Hua is considered a maestro in the Chinese industry. Many doramas have been staged based on her novellas, but there are some unsuccessful projects among them. For example, “Song in the Clouds”. The original novel is rated 8 on Douban. The drama of the same name struggled to score 3.6. The plot of the drama is full of failed moments, and the acting of Angelababy, who played the main role in the project, was also criticized.
4. “The Promise one”
It would seem that another adaptation of Tong Hua’s epic novel “The Promised One” (8 points on Douban) would be a new masterpiece, but not so. Even though the show was starring Victoria Song and Huang Xiao Ming, “The Promise One” only scored 3.1 on the Douban service. Many people noted the illogical, failed plot and strange ending.
5. Battle Through the Heavens
Tian Qian Tudou is a successful fantasy romance author. He is one of the top ten fantasy writers and has also become one of the top one hundred popular writers in online literature. All three adaptations are large-scale and big-budget productions and prominent actors were invited to participate in the projects. However, the plots of the dramas were significantly changed, which was a disrespect to the original novels, and the characters became unattractive after the adaptation.
8. “Untouchable Lovers”
The drama is based on the popular novel “The Tale of the Two Phoenixes” by author Tianyi Yufeng. The rating of the drama on Douban was 3.8. The altered storyline influenced viewers’ ratings. Also many people disliked the acting of Wei-Lun Sun.
On April 28, Sports Chosun reported that Jinyoung and Noh Jung Ui will play the lead characters in the new drama “The Witch” (literal title). In response to this report, both Park Jinyoung’s agency BH Entertainment and Noh Jung Ui’s agency Namoo Actors clarified that they received an offer to star in the drama and are positively considering it.
“The Witch” is a drama based on the webtoon of the same name created by Kang Full. It tells the story of a man, who is in love with a “witch” girl. The drama will be directed by Kim Tae Kyun.

Kim Min Seok, known as Laun, debuted as a member of ONF in August 2017 under WM Entertainment. In the group, he held the positions of the main dancer and maknae.
Prior to joining WM Entertainment, Laun trained in Big Hit Entertainment along with the BTS‘ members. At that time, he was 14. In total, he was a trainee (both in Big Hit and WM) for 4 years. Laun rose to prominence after participating in YG Entertainment‘s survival show ‘MIXNINE‘ in October 2017 along with the rest of the ONF members. He was included in the debut line-up, but the debut was canceled due to YG and other agencies failing to reach an agreement on promotion duration.
In mid-2019, ONF prepared for a comeback with their 4th mini album ‘Go Love’. However, on August 23, WM Entertainment announced Laun‘s departure from ONF. The crux of the matter
In May 1996, in a village in Heilongjiang Province, some Mo (unknown name, because in press is not allowed to use the real name of person) the suspected killer was around 20 years at that moment. Mo also had a girlfriend, she even had a child from him, a daughter. But he was afraid that the police would find him, so Mo did not do official register about marring with her, and after the girlfriend left him.
The police managed to capture him when the department of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province checked the archives for violators. One of the police officers found that the photo of one Li, who was arrested in 2013 for violating the law against gambling, did not match the photo from his identity card.
