The drinking habits of these popular idols were exposed by their own members!

Alcohol can turn you into a completely different person, you may not remember what you were doing in that state. However, we are all different. Some have pretty simple habits, others develop funny habits. Here are 6 of the idols with very interesting drinking habits:

1. Taeyang, BIGBANG

Seungri said on KBS’s “Happy Together” how Taeyang changes when he drinks. He usually acts calm and composed, but when he drinks he’s always angry that he can’t get drunk, when in fact he’s already drunk.

G-Dragon also confirmed this habit, saying that he found Taeyang drunk, but he kept claiming that he was sober.

2. Xiumin, EXO

When EXO appeared as guests on SBS Power FM’s The Cultwo Show, Baekhyun said that Xiumin likes to philosophize under the influence of alcohol and repeats the same thing many times. The other members laughed in agreement and added that he would pick on one person and tell him the same story over and over again.

Hyorin was widely known as an inveterate drinker, and many imagined her to be a strong personality even when she was drunk. However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. When she has been drinking, she transforms into a completely different person. Hyorin said that she changes in five stages: first her gestures change, she begins to speak in a softer voice, she becomes much more affable, her facial expressions and way of speaking change, and then, finally, her general behavior.

4. Uee, After School

Sunny is well known in the K-pop industry as a heavy drinker, perhaps the strongest in a generation of girls, and her favorite alcoholic drink is “somaek” (a combination of soju and beer). When she drinks with coworkers or friends at the pub, Sunny talks a lot and indistinctly. According to Henry, Sunny’s voice is all you can hear when she drinks at a party.

Western vs Chinese Beauty Standards

0
e0c8f596eca7b4536f546512b1afe600 184

We all know that Chinese girls have specific ideals of female beauty, but do foreigners share these ideals? Let’s compare. Western girls like to be tanned, Asian girls prefer white skin. Let’s look at the standards of beauty in China and in the West, and see how they differ.

  1. Chinese beauty standards: Big eyes

Today, the Chinese think that girls with 大眼睛 (big eyes) are the most beautiful, especially if their eyes have a 双眼皮 (double eyelid). These modern Chinese beauty standards show a certain fascination with the West, and more and more girls are resorting to cosmetic surgery to create these “double eyelids”.

But, do foreigners like it? On the contrary, most foreigners seem to prefer Chinese girls with slanted, narrow eyes and eyebrows. In China, 细长眼睛 (narrow eyes) with 单眼皮 (single eyelid) are not beautiful at all, so it seems that when it comes to eyes and body shape, the beauty standards do not coincide.

comparison1

This girl on the left, 吕燕 (Lu yan), is a 模特 top model, who’s extremely famous in China. She’s often considered the most beautiful and popular Chinese model by westerners. Lots of foreigners think her very beautiful, maybe because of her typical 东方古典美 (oriental look). She looks exotic, which often gain a lot of attention.

However, the Chinese tend to think that she is kind of “ugly” and “strange”, especially because of her narrow and long eyes, her big lips and very large face. Her face is quite exceptional and unique and as such she doesn’t quite fit with traditional Chinese beauty standards.

In the eyes of the Chinese society, the girl on the right in the picture is prettier, and her big eyes are definitely the dream of every Chinese girl.

The second Chinese beauty standard is the white skin. Let’s understand why.

  1. Chinese beauty standards: White Skin
comparison2

Some Chinese beauty standards are inspired by Western looks, but much remains typically oriental. 皮肤白 (white skin) is one of them. You will never see a girl applying self-tanning in China, or voluntarily sunbathing, unless she has spent quite a lot of time in the West. On the contrary, Chinese girls try to protect their skin from the sun as much as possible! If you’ve been to China, you undoubtedly have noticed how they wisely use umbrellas, jackets and sunscreen to protect their skin from the sun.

Having a white skin is an old Chinese beauty standard that comes from Ancient Chinese traditions. In ancient China, only rich people had a white skin because they didn’t have to work in the fields. Their creamy, flawless, white skin was proof that they were of a different class. That’s why Chinese girls still want a white and smooth skin. There is even Chinese expression praising white skin:

一白遮三丑 (a white complexion is powerful enough to hide seven faults.)

From this expression, it is not hard to see that Chinese traditional beauty standards equate “beauty” with white and smooth skin.

The Chinese girls’ obsession for the white skin is such that the make-up industry sells products in China that are different from westerns, where tanning is an obsession.

  1. Chinese beauty standards: Face shape
comparison3bis

In Chinese, there are a lots of words to describe the 脸型 (face shape), much more than the traditional square, oval, round and triangle face shapes in the West. That’s an indication of how seriously the Chinese take face shapes. Two specific shapes are the beauty ideal:

瓜子脸 — melon seed face

鹅蛋脸 — goose egg face

What a yummy description for the ideals of face shapes! If they don’t seem very clear for you, just imagine a face that has the same shape as a melon seed or goose egg.

Not everyone is born with this type of face nowadays, many girls even go through the cosmetic surgery to change the shape of their face. The worst face shape for a Chinese girl is a 国字脸 (square face). A square face is considered very masculine. Generally, Chinese girls want to have an oval face instead of a prominent chin, as it looks more feminine, delicate and cute.

And it is vice versa in the West. The square face is attract more attention and is considered a kind of beauty standard.

  1. Chinese beauty standards: Slim body
comparison 4

A slim body is what Chinese girls really want. Often their thinness looks very unhealthy, but this is exactly what the traditional standard of Chinese beauty includes.

Lot of girls barely eat in order to lose weight and be always in shape. On the Internet often appears photo of girls comparing their waist size to a A4 sheet of paper, or, if a girl is able to wrap her arms around her own waist — this clearly indicates that being slim is an another obsession in China. It’s incredible!

In the West, girls also take care of themselves, but curvy women are also part of the beauty standards. The breast and booty must be plump, but the waist must be very thin. The ideal body for some foreigners, unfortunately, remains Barbie, the famous doll, with its unrealistic proportions.

What do you think about it?

Fans are used to thinking that the BTS members have never been in embarrassing situations, but that’s not true. Here are 15 embarrassing moments that have happened to BTS members since their debut.

During his performance of “Fire”, Chimin tripped over Jin’s feet and fell right onto the stage. V quickly helped him up.

During a performance of “For You” in Japan, J-Hope lost his shoes but continued to dance until Junkkook handed him the missing shoe.

At a recent concert in Seoul, during his performance of “Fire”, a shoe fell off V. He did not get confused and quickly put the lost shoe back on his foot and continued his performance:

On Feb. 22, at a press conference before Gaon Chart, Jungkook couldn’t decide which way he was going to leave the stage. There are seven members in the group, so when three members went one way and the other three went the other way, Jungkook, who was standing in the center, was confused and could not immediately decide which way he should go:

At the taping of the performance of “Blood Sweat & Tears” on Show Music Core, V awkwardly stalled filming after remembering that he didn’t tie the laces on his shoes:

At the live broadcast of Music Bank on 27.09.2013, there was an embarrassment. According to the plan, BTS members were supposed to tear their shirts off at a certain point, leaving the guys in white shirts, but the shirts on Jimin and RM were torn too hard, thereby tearing even their shirts. The guys made it through the performance, delighting their fans:

At a performance in Japan, Jungkook, who was holding a trophy, accidentally mistook it for a microphone and gave his speech into it. Jin, known as a fan of the official lightstick, also confused the microphone with the ARMY – Bomb:

During the BTS: Epilogue concert tour, V made a mistake in the “Baepsae” dance. He stood in the wrong place, and when he realized that, he quickly ran over to where he should have been standing:

V’s habit of throwing the microphone in the air often played against him. The microphone would fly past his hand, making him uncomfortable:

RM once shared a story about how his own microphone hit him right in the eye during a performance:

During his performance of “Run”, RM managed to drop his microphone on stage. In an attempt to catch the mic that escaped him, the guy crashed into J-Hope:

An awkward situation also occurred during a performance at MAMA 2016. Jimin slipped during the “Blood Sweat & Tears” dance, but quickly got back on his feet and continued performing:

During a performance on SBS Gayo Daejeon2013, Jimin miscalculated his own strength and collapsed to the floor, twisting into a somersault:

Jungkook was in an awkward situation when he sat past the bed during his performance of “Just One Day”.

In China, on his wedding night, the fiance was video-linked to other women

0

A certain Su (name changed as the real names of non-public persons cannot be used in the media), from a small village, was forced to go to the city at the age of 18 to work, helping her parents and younger brother. She managed to get a job as a housekeeper and in 4 years, she saved so much money that she was able to build a nice house for the family and her brother became an enviable groom in the village, so he married well. Then Su thought it was time to get married herself, she was of the right age.

She wanted to go back to the village and marry a guy her parents could find for her, but her relative, who also worked in the city, talked her out of it. She introduced the girl to several guys and one of them she liked so much that eventually she decided to go out with him.

Xiao was not embarrassed by the fact that her chosen one was poor enough, unable to give anything to the other half at all, and therefore other girls rejected him. Accustomed to hard work, she decided she could do the same for her relationship – working for two.

When they had been dating for a year, they decided to get married. The family accepted Su‘s choice. And a lot of people gathered for the party. However, for some reason the groom kept drinking glass after glass.

Eventually, when it was time for the first wedding night, he simply collapsed on the floor at the doorstep before reaching the bed. This stunned Su, but she waited patiently for him to come to his senses. Finally, at dawn, when she was tired of waiting, she decided to quietly approach him to see how he was.

He was lying with his back to the bed, so there was no way he could see Su. Neither could he hear him, because he appeared to be very busy at the time – chatting with other women via video phone (with the sound turned off).

5f06e98552cb437cbd5d22c03c39b413

Seeing the scene, Su was in great shock – she had been cheated on in this way immediately after her marriage. She never had a wedding night in the end. The situation was repeated at night, with her husband lying on the floor, chatting to others by video link. In public, he behaved like a good husband.

This is a story Su told on social media, asking the question, “What should I do about such a marriage?”

Top 8 Failed Adaptations of Successful Chinese Novels

0

It is a known fact that most Chinese costume dramas are based on short novels, the authors of which can be both popular and obscure writers. It is no secret that screen adaptations can generate renewed interest in the original source, but not all TV adaptations can be called successful.

Here is a list of dramas that have proven to be failures compared to the original sources.

1. “Listening Snow Tower(“Ting Xue Lou”)

610 listening snow tower swordfight

The fantasy drama is based on the novel “Listening Snow Tower: Blood of the Rose” by author Cang Yue. The novel was rated 8.5 on Douban. The adaptation of the novel was not as successful as the original novel. Douban rating was only 4.5 points. The creators of the serial reduced some of the plot and also changed the characteristics of the characters (the original story told the love story of a phoenix and a dragon, but in the drama characters just have magical powers, they are not divine beings).

2. “Mirror: A Tale Of Twin Cities”

Another adaptation of the novel by Cang Yue was once again many times inferior to the original. The novel scored 8.6 points in the Douban rating, but the screen adaptation with Lee Yi Feng was a catastrophic failure with only 3.8 points. According to netizens, the creators of the drama removed the main essence that was in the novella, that’s why the series turned out to be very boring and faded.

3. “Song in the Clouds”

Author Tong Hua is considered a maestro in the Chinese industry. Many doramas have been staged based on her novellas, but there are some unsuccessful projects among them. For example, “Song in the Clouds”. The original novel is rated 8 on Douban. The drama of the same name struggled to score 3.6. The plot of the drama is full of failed moments, and the acting of Angelababy, who played the main role in the project, was also criticized.

4. “The Promise one”

kq6Kg 3f

It would seem that another adaptation of Tong Hua’s epic novel “The Promised One” (8 points on Douban) would be a new masterpiece, but not so. Even though the show was starring Victoria Song and Huang Xiao Ming, “The Promise One” only scored 3.1 on the Douban service. Many people noted the illogical, failed plot and strange ending.

5. Battle Through the Heavens

Tian Qian Tudou is a successful fantasy romance author. He is one of the top ten fantasy writers and has also become one of the top one hundred popular writers in online literature. Three doramas have been made based on Tian Tsang Tudou’s novels. All three adaptations did not achieve high ratings. “Battle Through the Heavens”, starring Wu Lei, scored 4.3 on Douban.

6. “Martial Universe”

“Martial Universe”, featuring Yang Yang, scored a 4.4 on Douban.

7. “The Great Lord”

The TV version of “The Great Lord” with Wang Yuan is rated only 5 points.

All three adaptations are large-scale and big-budget productions and prominent actors were invited to participate in the projects. However, the plots of the dramas were significantly changed, which was a disrespect to the original novels, and the characters became unattractive after the adaptation.

8. “Untouchable Lovers”

Untouchable Lovers 3

The drama is based on the popular novel “The Tale of the Two Phoenixes” by author Tianyi Yufeng. The rating of the drama on Douban was 3.8. The altered storyline influenced viewers’ ratings. Also many people disliked the acting of Wei-Lun Sun.

GOT7’s Jinyoung And Noh Jung Ui Negotiate For Star In Webtoon-Based Drama

0
dummy

On April 28, Sports Chosun reported that Jinyoung and Noh Jung Ui will play the lead characters in the new drama “The Witch” (literal title). In response to this report, both Park Jinyoung’s agency BH Entertainment and Noh Jung Ui’s agency Namoo Actors clarified that they received an offer to star in the drama and are positively considering it.

The Witch” is a drama based on the webtoon of the same name created by Kang Full. It tells the story of a man, who is in love with a “witch” girl. The drama will be directed by Kim Tae Kyun.

Jinyoung was offered the role of Lee Dong Jin, a character who graduated from college with a major in statistics and was hired by Shine Solution as the best data scientist. During his schooldays, he met a girl named Park Mi Jung, who is being smeared with worse rumors. All he could do was be there for her and say that he believed her. However, she leaves school, and he studies statistics in order to tell her, “You’re not a witch.” After a long time, they will meet in the subway, and this time he’s willing to give up his life for her.

Noh Jung Ui was offered the role of Park Mi Jung, a girl enjoying freedom, who dresses in beautiful clothes at 3:30 AM every day and leaves her rooftop home. She works as a translator, using her knowledge of the English language, acquired in childhood. Park Mi Jung’s mother passed away after giving birth to her, and the girl herself attracts attention even when she does nothing. During her schooldays, at some point, male students began to fall in love with her. Perhaps it’s because of her unique and mysterious vibes. As a result, rumors began to circulate about Park Mi Jung, and everyone began to call her a “witch”. Loneliness is now a common occurrence for a girl, but from time to time, she recalls a boy from high school with a bright smile who used to pass by her with his group of friends.

The Witch” is currently in discussion to be broadcast on Internet platforms, and filming will begin soon.

Police found the suspected multimillionaire killer, after 26 years of searching.

0

A Chinese man suspected of murder has been in hiding for 26 years, he become a multimillionaire during this time. It was discovered by checking the archives with violators of the law on the prohibition of gambling.

The crux of the matter

In May 1996, in a village in Heilongjiang Province, some Mo (unknown name, because in press is not allowed to use the real name of person) the suspected killer was around 20 years at that moment. And from the same village were brothers Shi, they quarreled with Mo because of irrigation canals on the fields, they did not want to go on concessions to each other.

Sometimes Mo started the fight, sometimes brothers Shi started the fight. The headman of the village stopped the fights, after he sent them home.

By the way Mo could not sleep that night, suddenly thought that he fought too often in his village and fussed over trifles. So he decided the next morning to go to the city and get a job there.

But while he was in the city, a family member suddenly called him and told him that the oldest of the Shi brothers had been hospitalized with serious injuries. At first, Mo did not take it seriously, but then he saw an ad on TV, he is on the wanted list – the oldest of brothers had died. Then in panic Mo decided to go away as far as possible, to Guangzhou.

In Guangzhou for a few years he had low income from different side jobs, at each place of work he introduced himself as a different persons. Then Mo decided to organize his own business. He managed to take some business courses under an assumed name, and then went to Hangzhou, where he was able to start a clothing business.

Things went well. He opened stores and there were good sales. Also Mo bought commercial properties, he had a expensive car and a luxurious house. Everything was registered on a different name. The total cost of all this was something like 30 million yuan.

Mo also had a girlfriend, she even had a child from him, a daughter. But he was afraid that the police would find him, so Mo did not do official register about marring with her, and after the girlfriend left him.

The police managed to capture him when the department of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province checked the archives for violators. One of the police officers found that the photo of one Li, who was arrested in 2013 for violating the law against gambling, did not match the photo from his identity card. But the intruder, in a strange way, was very similar to the suspect in the murder committed 26 years ago.

As a result, after the checks, Mo managed to be detained. He confessed everything to police and said that if he could go back in time and change what happened then, he would give all his millions for it. An investigation is currently ongoing.
