Singer Bernard Park is leaving his current agency.
JYP Entertainment released an official statement on September 19 saying, “We inform you that JYP and Bernard Park‘s exclusive contract expires on September 19,” agency representatives added, “We have been negotiating and discussing the matter with Bernard Park for a long period before the contract expired, but in the end both parties have decided not to renew the contract.”
“Since his debut on October 13, 2014, Bernard Park has been a great solo artiste representing JYP. We would like to express our deep gratitude to Bernard Park for his long nine years of trust and respect for each other, JYP will continue to support Bernard Pak in any endeavour he undertakes. We also ask you to support Bernard Park as he breaks new ground,” the agency said in a statement.”
Bernard Park, who won the 3rd season of the SBS TV survival show “K-pop Star” broadcast in 2014, officially debuted in the music industry with the album “I…” (“난…”) in October the same year. Idol has performed various OSTs for such dramas as “Beautiful Mind”, “Radio Romance”, “More Than Friends / Number of Cases to Go From Friends to Lovers (경우의 수)”, “OK Kwang Sisters” and “Adamas”, and released his second mini album “To whom it may concern” on 6 September.
